SM City Iloilo took Ilonggos to a magical evening as it officially launched the most- anticipated Christmas celebration in the city, last November 10, 2019 at the Northpoint Event Center.

The venue was transformed into a magical garden filled with colors and dazzling lights, as the 40ft. Christmas Centerpiece was lighted with jolly old Santa Claus, witnessed by guests from the public and private sectors.

Guests were entertained with the heavenly voices of Iloilo’s very own John B. Lacson Maritime University’s Kinaadman Chorale and a ballet performance by the Annie Divinagracia-Sartorio School of Performing Arts.

The celebration even got more exciting when Idol Philippines 1st runner-up Lucas Garcia serenaded the crowd with his signature singing style, belting most-love Christmas songs to the audiences’ delight.

The event was graced by Iloilo City Vice Mayor Jeffrey Ganzon and family, Councilor Jay Treñas, together with Mayor Jerry Treñas’ sons Carlo and Paolo. Department of Tourism 6 Regional Director Atty. Helen Catalbas and Iloilo Festival Foundation Inc. President Atty. Jobert Peñaflorida.

The mall, known for its community involvement in uplifting the lives of various sectors in the society, invited kids of Overseas Foreign Workers( OFW) and their families, as well as the Autism Society Philippines-Iloilo, and children from Iloilo City Crisis Intervention Unit, as a treat to them and to brighten up their Christmas.

Kids and kids-at-heart can meet, greet, and take photos with SM Santa! Shoppers can also make a wish for their loved ones by writing Santa a letter via the #DearSMSanta website (www.smsupermalls.com/dearsmsanta) for a chance to win exciting giveaways.
